Each of our lead instructors designs their programs around technique, rigorous physical fitness, tradition, and character building. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a highly effective martial art for men, women, and children from all walks of life. It was initially designed as a self-defense system, a combat sport, for the smaller person using leverage against a larger assailant, because not everyone is equipped with the strength, height, or athleticism to overpower someone in a self-defense situation.
All classes consist of warmups, drills, techniques, and live rolling/sparring. Younger students will learn discipline, self defense, physical fitness, and how to be tough and get out of bad situations. Students are encouraged to participate in tournaments to test their skills and overcome fears, although it is not required.
Youth (8-13 yrs), Adult (teen and up)
Muay Thai, or Thai Boxing, is kickboxing from Thailand. It is the national sport of Thailand, and is unique in its standup style in that it uses kicks, punches, knees, and elbows. Other unique elements, such as the clinch, and sweeps or "dumps," make Muay Thai a very effective standup martial art; arguably one of the best in the world. Muay Thai teaches discipline, self defense, and is a great cardio and strength workout for any age.
Our class brings together fighting elements with teamwork, fitness, and discipline. Students learn how to kick, punch, knee, elbow, clinch, defend themselves, and spar. Lots of basic fitness drills, with jumping rope, situps, pushups, and other conditioning make a well rounded athlete.

Balintawak is great for self defense, coordination, and striking and weapons training. It is designed to develop your speed, timing, control, and maintaining focus under pressure. Additionally, emphasis is placed on economy of motion, flexibility, natural body movement, and delivery of direct line strikes to produce lightning fast counter attacks.
